What it is
A record of how you behave inside your clients’ systems, confirmed by their own logs, not only by yours.
- You and your client agree a published set of rules for your access: what you may do, what needs an approved change, and the limits.
- You report what you did. Your client’s own logs report what they saw. Rootwall compares the two.
- Each period ends with a shared record: every rule kept, or the one that was broken.
What you gain
- Proof, not paperwork. Certificates and questionnaires show how you are set up. This shows how you behaved.
- A record a new client can check, instead of starting from zero at every onboarding.
- An answer your regulated clients already need. Banks and insurers must oversee their critical providers on an ongoing basis. Your record is evidence they can use.
- If you choose, conduct backed by money. Service credits for conduct: a small sum, fixed in advance and capped, credited to your client if a rule is broken. The same idea as the service credits you already offer when you miss an uptime promise.
If you run security for your clients, as a managed security service or a SOC, they already ask who checks the people with the keys. This is the answer.
What it is not
Rootwall installs nothing on your clients’ systems, sees none of their data, and does not sit in your connection. It compares two signed reports against rules agreed in advance.
See a worked example of the rules for a provider that manages a company’s systems over a VPN.
How to start
Join from $1,000 a year and invite one client. Your client joins in its own size band, and your first shared record starts with your first period. The full schedule of fees.
