FAQ
Common questions
What is Rootwall?
Rootwall is a membership for the providers that connect to your systems: rules agreed in advance, and a signed record of how each one keeps them.
Who counts as a provider?
Any company you let into your systems: IT support, outsourced operations, software vendors, payroll firms and similar.
Is it a firewall or a gateway?
No. Rootwall never sits in your traffic. Your firewalls and gateways stay exactly as they are.
Is it a security operations centre?
No. Your security team, in-house or outsourced, keeps its own detection, untouched.
Is it an identity product?
No. Your providers already prove who they are. Rootwall records how they behave once they are in.
Do you take our logs?
No. Each side checks its own logs and sends Rootwall only a short signed statement of whether the rules were kept.
What happens when a provider breaks a rule?
It gets a strike on its record. The record is yours to bring to the next contract renewal.
Does the provider take part?
Yes. The rules are agreed with the provider before it connects. It can also send its own signed statements, so its account stands beside yours.
Where are you based?
In London, working with organisations anywhere.
